Key words: exercises, foreign language, grammar, Italian. ABSTRACT In foreign language teaching in general, exercises must have a dominant position, since a large variety of exercises is a prerequisite for mastering any foreign language. All other processes occurring in the classroom should have a subsidiary function, in order to facilitate the language learning and to contribute more rational and more efficient use of exercises.
