Abstract

Accurate analysis of electronic nose depends on several factors such as sensor types, pattern recognition algorithm, ambient temperature and humidity. The sensor is one of the important factors for effectively and accurately odor measurement of electronic nose. This study aimed to propose the advantages and disadvantages of MOS metal oxide semiconduting sensors, one of the most used sensors, by analyizing performance, structure, operation principles of them. Consequently we aimed to extract beneficial information about electronic nose studies based on MOS sensors.
